Thread Plug Gauges

Product Description

A thread gauge is a tool used to measure the pitch or lead of a screw thread. It's also known as a screw gauge or pitch gauge.

Thread gauges check the dimensions of a specific thread form angle, pitch, and diameter. They can also be used to check whether threads meet specifications. 

There are several types of thread gauges, including: 

• NPT thread gauges: Used to check tapered threads (NPT & BSPT)
• Thread ring gauges: Used to check external threaded parts
• Taper gauges: Used for pipe threads for joints made pressure-tight by mating of threads
• BSTPr thread gauges: Used in pipe assemblies where a pressure-tight joint is required on threads, without the use of sealing compound
• Plug gauges: Used to check internal threads

Each gauge comprises two parts: a GO gauge and a NO GO gauge. Both parts should be used to check the thread.
